Fiona is an experienced tax adviser and will further enhance the Private Client team.

Janet Pilborough-Skinner, Head of Tax at Goodman Jones said, “Fiona brings impressive credentials from a career devoted to advising high net worth individuals and families as well as owner managers and business directors.  She draws on a breadth of approaches so can design solutions that meet the requirements of specific individuals and families.  Her expertise includes advising on trusts and trust restructuring to protect valued assets. She also has an in depth understanding of UK property issues including landed estates. Recently she has been working with crypto currency investors.  She will be a great asset and will enhance what our private client team does in terms of proactive tax planning advice in a changing landscape.”

Janet continued, “As a firm with an international client base, we can advise on estate and business planning for overseas citizens resident in the UK, something that Fiona will strengthen further.  She has supported globally wealthy families returning or relocating to the UK as well couples on the UK tax implications on divorce. In support of our international business clients, the private client team advises on issues regarding employment of key personnel from overseas.  Fiona will bring her considerable expertise in terms of working with individuals from the US, Europe and beyond.”

Esther Wood, Head of International at Goodman Jones adds, “I am looking forward to welcoming Fiona to our International group.  Her language skills will be particularly relevant for our French, Spanish and Italian clients and when working with our colleagues from GMN International.”

Fiona said, “I am delighted to be joining Goodman Jones. Our firm offers a strength and depth of technical expertise and strong international network that you would normally find in much larger firms.  However as a nimbler organisation we combine that with a genuinely personal and bespoke service as well as responding quickly to an ever-changing environment to best advise our clients.  I look forward to working with our talented tax team, and the partners and staff across the firm to contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm going forward.’’

Julian Flitter, Managing Partner concluded, “It’s been a pleasure to get to know Fiona and I look forward to welcoming her into the firm.  Over and above her technical expertise, Fiona operates as a trusted adviser to her clients, helping them to achieve their objectives and ambitions.  However, she is also passionate about the development of the team and helping to realise internal ambitions too.  Looking to the long term and doing what’s right is the hallmark of a Goodman Jones Partner.”
